Perth Leadership Institute Book on Financial Styles Voted in Top Imported Books in China

Prestigious Book Award by Top Chinese Publishing Associations Demonstrates Rapid Acceptance of Perth’s Business Acumen Assessments

(Gainesville, Florida, September 10, 2007) The Perth Leadership Institute (http://www.perthleadership.org/), the industry leader in business acumen assessment and development programs, today announced that the path-breaking book by Dr. E. Ted Prince, its Founder and CEO entitled The Three Financial Styles of Very Successful Leaders, published by McGraw-Hill in 2005 has won the award of “one of the best imported books in China in 2006” . The book has been translated into Chinese and the publisher is Ewin Books, a joint venture between McGraw Hill and the Chinese Ministry for Finance.

This award competition called the “Annual Evaluation and Selection of Best Imported Books” was conducted by three leading national publishing organizations, China Publishing International Cooperation Association, China Institute of Publishing Study and Information on Publications (a leading bibliographic magazine). The Awards Committee reviewed over 500 titles for the award which included most of the top-selling books in the US and the rest of the world. Of these, the Award Committee chose 81 titles for the award. These included best-sellers such as The World is Flat, by Thomas Friedman, The Long Tail by Chris Anderson, Our Iceberg is Melting by John Kotter, Revolutionary Wealth by Alvin Toffler and the The Toyota Way Field Book.

According to Dr. Prince, “We are honored to be chosen by the Committee for this award alongside such illustrious authors and titles. The Perth Leadership Institute’s approach is fast gaining traction in China and the book award is clear recognition of this in the world’s fastest growing economy. We are close to signing distribution agreements in China. We believe that the Chinese market is perfect for our advanced approach to developing and enhancing superior profit behaviors and business acumen in business executives in companies in China.”

The Perth Leadership Institute has developed new leadership assessments based on the research set out in the book. These form part of its financial performance training and improvement programs for executives. These include its individual, team and C-level financial performance programs.

Perth has already announced the release of its Financial Outcome Assessment™, an online instrument which assesses the business acumen of executives and managers and shows them how to develop it.
